DebtFree takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains, in plain language, what data DebtFree collects, how it is used, who it is shared with, and what rights you have over your data.
DebtFree only collects data that is necessary for the product to work: (a) your email address and the user ID generated by Supabase; (b) the debts, payments, budget items, income records and mood notes you enter; (c) your chat messages if you use AI Koç; (d) anonymous usage data (crashes, performance, feature usage) that helps us improve the app. We do not perform advertising tracking (no IDFA).
Your data is used only to run your account, compute debt projections and your budget, build context for AI Koç, sync data across your devices, and improve product stability. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
When you use AI Koç, contextual data (debt names, balance summaries, your latest mood entry, message history) is sent to Anthropic's Claude API via Supabase Edge Functions. Anthropic processes this data to generate a response for you. Anthropic's privacy policy: https://www.anthropic.com/legal/privacy. AI Koç does not run without your explicit consent at first use.
DebtFree uses the following services: Supabase (database, authentication, edge functions), Anthropic Claude (AI coach), RevenueCat (subscription verification), Apple App Store / Google Play (payments), TelemetryDeck (anonymous usage analytics). Each service is governed by its own privacy policy. We never send bank account numbers or card details to any of them.
Your data is stored on Supabase's European Union region servers (eu-west-1). Chat messages and mood entries travel over encrypted connections (TLS) and are stored with Supabase's disk encryption.
From the Settings screen you can at any time: (1) export all your data as JSON, (2) wipe all local data from this device, (3) permanently delete your account — this also removes your debts, payments, budget, chats and profile from our cloud. Account deletion is irreversible.
DebtFree is not designed for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal data from users under 13.
We update this policy when there are significant changes and revise the "last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
